Lee's Summit properties often come with significant slope, expansive lots, and clay-heavy Missouri soil that demands careful drainage planning. We've engineered solutions for hundreds of KC metro properties over 35 years and know what holds up here.
Lee's Summit backyards tend to run larger than many suburban properties, which changes how we plan grading, define outdoor zones, and manage water movement across the full site. We're built for projects at this scale.
We're a local, family-run company personally invested in every outcome. Lee's Summit homeowners trust our reputation for quality, built project by project over 35+ years on the Missouri side of the metro.
Upfront pricing, realistic timelines, and crews that show up when scheduled. Lee's Summit homeowners appreciate that we communicate clearly and deliver on our commitments throughout the project.
Expansive Lee's Summit lots benefit from designs that intentionally define outdoor zones—patios, privacy plantings, and drainage all planned to work together across the full property rather than as isolated improvements.

Common questions about landscaping in Lees Summit
We provide full-service landscaping in Lee’s Summit, MO, including landscape design, patio installation, walkways, retaining walls, drainage solutions, grading, planting, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, fireplaces, and complete backyard renovations. Our team helps homeowners improve curb appeal, solve drainage issues, and create outdoor spaces built for long-term performance.
Many Lee’s Summit properties benefit from a mix of functional landscaping and outdoor living design. Popular solutions include paver patios, retaining walls for sloped yards, drainage improvements, upgraded foundation plantings, and backyard layouts that create better entertaining space while fitting the property’s grade and style.
Concrete pavers are one of the best low-maintenance patio options for many Lee’s Summit homeowners because they are durable, attractive, and better able to handle Missouri freeze-thaw cycles than many rigid surfaces. They also make spot repairs easier if settling occurs or underground access is ever needed.
Yes. We design and build custom patios, walkways, fire pit areas, outdoor kitchens, and multi-level backyard living spaces in Lee’s Summit, MO. Multi-level designs are especially useful on properties with elevation changes because they create more usable space and improve the overall flow of the backyard.
If your yard holds water after storms, develops soggy lawn areas, has erosion, or sends runoff toward the house, drainage improvements may be needed. In Lee’s Summit, common solutions include French drains, dry creek beds, grading corrections, catch basins, and downspout extensions designed to move water away effectively.
Absolutely. Retaining walls are a smart solution for many Lee’s Summit homes with sloped lots, washout issues, uneven grade changes, or limited flat backyard space. A properly built retaining wall can stabilize soil, improve drainage control, create more usable outdoor areas, and add structure to the landscape design.
Lee’s Summit landscapes often do well with a mix of hardy shrubs, ornamental grasses, perennials, shade trees, and native-style plantings chosen for Missouri weather and seasonal changes. The best design depends on sun exposure, drainage conditions, maintenance goals, and whether you want a more polished formal look or a softer natural style.
Spring and fall are ideal for many planting projects in Lee’s Summit, but patios, retaining walls, walkways, drainage work, and other hardscaping projects can often be completed through much of the year. Starting early is often the best way to secure scheduling before the busiest part of the outdoor project season.
