Prairie Village's classic ranch and Cape Cod homes demand landscaping that complements their architectural character. We design outdoor spaces that feel at home alongside established properties—not out of place on a mid-century lot.
Working around established root systems, heavy shade, and decades-old tree canopy requires experience that newer suburbs can't teach. We plan every Prairie Village project to protect the trees while creating a more functional, beautiful yard.
We're a local, family-run company personally invested in every outcome. Prairie Village homeowners trust our reputation for quality, built project by project in one of Johnson County's most established and community-minded cities.

Prairie Village's mature lots often have decades of established plantings, root systems, and drainage patterns that need to be worked with rather than removed. We design outdoor spaces that improve the property while preserving what makes it distinctive.
Older Prairie Village lots can have settled surfaces, root intrusion, and uneven grades beneath existing hardscape. We rebuild patios and walkways with proper base preparation and drainage to perform well through Kansas freeze-thaw seasons.
Design the perfect outdoor kitchen for your Prairie Village backyard with custom grill islands, countertops, and prep areas built for year-round entertaining.
Create the ideal gathering spot with a custom outdoor firepit that extends your Prairie Village outdoor season from spring through fall and beyond.
Engineered stone walls that manage Prairie Village's terrain, prevent erosion, and add striking curb appeal to your property.
Prairie Village's dense tree canopy and established root systems require low-profile drainage solutions that move water effectively without disrupting the plantings and character that define these yards. We design accordingly.

Common questions about landscaping in Prairie Village
We provide full-service landscaping in Prairie Village, KS, including landscape design, patio installation, walkways, retaining walls, drainage solutions, grading, planting, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, fireplaces, and complete backyard renovations. Our team designs outdoor spaces that improve curb appeal, solve drainage issues, and complement Prairie Village’s established neighborhoods and classic homes.
Many Prairie Village homes benefit from landscaping that balances updated curb appeal with the character of the property. Popular improvements include refreshed planting beds, paver walkways, foundation landscaping, retaining walls, drainage corrections, and outdoor living spaces that work with mature trees and established lot layouts.
Concrete pavers are one of the best low-maintenance patio options for many Prairie Village homeowners because they are durable, attractive, and better suited for seasonal freeze-thaw movement than many rigid surfaces. They also allow for easier repairs if a section settles or underground access is needed later.
Yes. We design and install custom patios, front entry walkways, garden paths, fire pit areas, and outdoor living spaces in Prairie Village, KS. These features help homeowners create more usable outdoor space, improve backyard flow, and add long-term value to the property.
If your Prairie Village yard stays soggy after rain, develops standing water, shows signs of erosion, or sends runoff toward your home, drainage improvements may be needed. Common solutions include French drains, dry creek beds, downspout extensions, catch basins, and grading corrections designed to move water away effectively.
Yes. Native plants and rain gardens can be an excellent fit for Prairie Village properties because they help manage runoff, add seasonal color, and support a lower-maintenance landscape once established. They are especially useful for homeowners who want attractive landscaping that also improves drainage performance.
Absolutely. Mature trees are one of the defining features of many Prairie Village properties, so landscape design often needs to account for shade, root zones, drainage patterns, and overall tree health. A thoughtful design can improve the yard while preserving the established look that makes the property feel distinctive.
Spring and fall are ideal for many planting projects in Prairie Village, but patios, retaining walls, walkways, drainage work, and other hardscaping projects can often be completed during much of the year. Starting early is often the best way to secure scheduling before the busiest part of the outdoor project season.
